These terms govern your use of the Fade Calendar Chrome extension and website (fadecalendar.com), operated by Pedro Lopes, as a sole trader (“we,” “us”). By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What the service is

Fade Calendar is a browser extension that visually dims user-configured periods of the day on Google Calendar's grid. It is purely visual: it never blocks clicks, never creates, edits, or deletes calendar events, and never accesses the Google Calendar API. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.

Accounts

An account is identified by your email address. Login is passwordless: we email you a one-time code each time you sign in. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address secure, since it's how the account is authenticated.

Trial, pricing, and billing

• Every account starts with a 7-day free trial from first login. No card is required to start it.
• After the trial, continued use requires either a monthly subscription (€1.99/month) or a one-time lifetime purchase (€14.99, one-time).
• Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details.
• The monthly subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; you'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and it won't renew after that.
• The lifetime purchase is a single one-time payment for permanent access to Fade Calendar Pro features, for as long as the service exists.
• Refunds: if something's not working as expected, contact pclslopes@gmail.com and we'll sort it out. As a general guideline we'll honor refund requests made within 14 days of a charge, in line with standard EU consumer distance-selling expectations, evaluated case by case.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to circumvent the license/trial system, share a single paid account across multiple unrelated people, reverse-engineer the service to abuse it, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Fade Calendar running reliably but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features, pricing, and these terms may change over time; material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page and, where reasonable, by notifying active subscribers.

Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Since Fade Calendar only changes how Google Calendar looks visually and never modifies your calendar data, our liability relating to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before a claim, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing here limits liability for anything that can't legally be limited, including your statutory consumer rights.

Termination

You can stop using Fade Calendar anytime by uninstalling the extension and/or cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence if you're an EU/EEA consumer.
